Century City was the first major temporary exhibition at Tate Modern, it examined the key moments of cultural creativity in nine cities across the world. The exhibition provided an exceptional insight into defining moments of modern art and culture. The cities and periods included New York in the 1970s, Paris in the 1910s, Bombay/Mumbai in the 1990s and London from 1987 to the present day. In the Turbine Hall, the London section included an area titled Big Blue, exhibiting a collection of young London artists, curated by Peter Lewis and including I love you to the moon and back by Iain and Jane.
